As of March 18, 2021, at least 29.6 million people in the United States have been infected with COVID-19, and more than 537,000 have died. There is an urgent need to find effective COVID-19 therapies, in the US and worldwide. Eli Lilly and Company, a US-based pharmaceutical company, is conducting multiple studies for investigational medicines that may be able to help. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is allowing this research as part of the process for the development of new medicines. The investigational medicines are a common type of drug that scientists make to mimic part of the body's immune system. They are not vaccines and they do not contain the COVID-19 virus.
More research is needed to see if these investigational medicines can prevent and treat COVID-19. You can join in the search by participating in a study.
We are enrolling volunteers for studies at locations across the US. We have designed these studies to make participation in them as convenient as possible. Each of our studies has a unique purpose and different requirements for who can participate.
We can help you find a study that may be the best fit for you. Review the information below and visit the website links provided for each study, or use our Find a Study feature for help walking through the options.

You can choose a study now using the information above, or we can help you find a study. Click the Find a Study button and answer a few questions. Then we’ll recommend any studies you may qualify for and tell you what to do next if you are interested. Finding a study or joining a study is completely voluntary.
Each person and each research study are different. Every research study has risks and benefits to consider when deciding whether to participate. If you meet the study requirements, you and your loved ones are the only ones who can decide if participation is right for you.
You may want to take part in a COVID-19 research study for the following reasons:
Move COVID-19 research forward and possibly help find a treatment that may help others
Take an active role in your health by staying informed and exploring new potential treatment options
Possibly try investigational medicines for COVID-19 that are available through this research
If you are considering participation in a COVID-19 study, you probably have questions. The research team for any study you consider will be able to answer them.
